Experimental analysis of combustion with the use of ethanol-biodiesel-diesel blends in diesel generator sets

This study aims to experimentally investigate the effects of using different percentages ethanol-biodiesel-diesel blends in diesel internal combustion engines and analyze energy parameters. The experiments were conducted on a single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled, constant-speed generator set with rated electrical power 4.5 kW 79% full engine load (3.54kW). Temperature, fuel flow, AVL pressure, rotation sensors installed crankshaft inside cylinder. fuels used commercial (S-10) 1%, 2%, 3% anhydrous ethanol added diesel, changing injection pressure only one blend. results show decrease thermal efficiency an increase consumption, addition ignition delay, duration, in-cylinder heat release rate as percentage increased.
